I had my horse reshod and had the vet come and take x-rays since I

started with a new farrier three months ago and wanted to make sure we're

on the right track. The x-rays showed that the farrier is doing a good job

keeping our trouble spots in alignment and they also showed that the soles

have become thicker since our last x-rays taken 5 months ago. The farrier

commented that the hoof walls have been getting thicker since he started

working on this horse and the new growth coming in looks very good. The

hooves looked ready for a trim at four weeks, but we ended up going five

weeks and my horse actually held both front shoes which has rarely

happened before. The shoes weren't even loose!

Will be using it on all our horses now. Use to buy it just for our stallion with ongoing

large crack in one or two hooves. Now with a great farrier and Hoof-Rite his feet no

longer crack and for once he is sound. This is a 1500 lb + stallion. Farrier says

whatever we're doing don’t change it.

We purchased our 14 yr. old QH mare 2 years ago for our grandsons. She had spent her  "previous" life as a barrel racer and was an ideal horse for small boys to learn on. However,  her hooves were in such bad shape not much learning was going on, mostly trying to find a  farrier who could shoe her satisfactorily so she would walk! When we became his owners (3 years ago) his hoof walls were paper thin and flaky. I tried numerous hoof supplements over the years with little to no results. I just wanted to send a note from Paladin and Camelot. A horse is only as good as his feet. When that horse is a draft horse that means a whole lot of feet and hoof! Our Percheron cross, Paladin, was suffering from white line disease and went from being off slightly to being lame. Hoof-Rite has proven itself and is and will remain a mainstay in our feed room.
